FEMA Selects InfoReliance to Implement Automated Mitigation Performance System

Fairfax, Virginia – January 1, 2006 - InfoReliance Corporation, a leading Northern Virginia information technology firm, today announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has selected InfoReliance to implement an automated system to manage the activities of FEMA’s Mitigation Division.

FEMA works to effectively manage federal response and recovery following national incidents, and its Mitigation Division implements broad-based mitigation strategies to protect life and property and reduce long-term risks from hazards. Specific Mitigation Division programs include the National Flood Insurance Program, the Hurricane and Earthquake Preparedness Program and the Dam Safety Program.

As directed by the contract, InfoReliance will implement an automated tool that will streamline the planning, tracking, management and analysis of the Mitigation Division’s support system to reduce administrative overhead and increase the relevance, accuracy and timeliness of program performance information. The application will also manage individual work plans, and ensure that program and payroll activities are in line with FEMA priorities.

“FEMA’s Mitigation Team funds vital mitigation projects and builds disaster-planning partnerships between the public and private sectors,” said Jeff Crosslin, director of operations at InfoReliance. “InfoReliance is thrilled to be a part of the creation of FEMA’s Mitigation Performance System, which will help protect communities from natural disasters before they happen.”
